We have been hard at work to make this years Showdown a great experience. You have been hard at work training to make it a great race. Lets put that all together this Saturday!
Race day is almost upon us, here are a few tips for the weekend:
pit spaces will be pre marked
when you arrive the parking attendants will allow one vehicle in per team
spaces are NOT numbered, so arrive early to get your choice of spaces
each team may keep one vehicle in the venue, save the planet and car pool
bring a shade tent, camp chairs and race supplies
overflow parking is available in lot D, and a shuttle will be running to make it easy
Mandatory athlete meeting is at 9:30 in Showdown village at the Start Finish Line
We will have great food on site from Queso Good and 12 West Brewing will be serving some fantastic beers in the beer garden.
Packet pickup is at Two-wheel Jones 2837 N. Power Rd #110 Friday from 3-7. Bring your ID. If your team signed the online waiver then you can get their packet (many people did not) If a teammate did not fill out the waiver they will need to pick up in person with their ID. Packet pick up will also be available race day.
Timing chip pick up will be race day, if you pick up packet on Friday you avoid the packet and registation line line on race day.

The Showdown Team
Welcome to what will be the fastest showdown on mountain bikes! Riders will be ripp'n around the trails for 8 hours to see who can finish with the most laps. Watch out everyone, these folks are gonna be haul'n through a fast 11 mile loop!
Think this day is just for you grown ups only? HECK NO! Bring out the family, camp, and let those kids take advantage of all the fun park activities! There will be 2 free kids races. At noon, the Little Buckaroo's race start. And at 1:00 pm the Wrangler's Race starts which is for kiddo's 12 and under who will be riding a new 2 mile course this year! Make sure you pack the kids with their helmets too! We will be keeping the Showdown alive all day long by having music, bicycle and food vendors plus a refreshing beer garden!
DUO AND TEAM RULE: For relay teams, all riders must complete within 2 laps of each other. (If your strongest team member does 4 laps all others on the team must do at least 2 laps).

Gravel Grinder Rules:
You can ride a gravel road bike, a cyclocross bike or a road bike adapted to ride dirt. Tires may not be wider that 42mm. Drop handlebars ar required. No dampened suspension shocks or forks permitted (shock absorbing elastomer or flex type forks, frames and seatposts are permitted, not to exceed 80mm of travel).

Packet Pick up also on Saturday November 2, 2019 7:00 am - 9:30 am at the start/finish line
All Riders - Due to limited parking there is one car per team allowed in the horse staging/event parking lot. Category riders with more than one person riding may drop off their gear at their team car but will have to then park outside of the horse staging area in a parking spot not on the street. (Thank you in advance).
Refund policy: We strive to make all of our events safe, fun and exciting. We race rain or shine but as event organizers we will make decisions based upon the safety of our participants. In order to provide you with the best experience possible we will have covered all of the expenses associated with putting on an the event well before the starting gun goes off. As such we are unable to carry the financial exposure created by an 'act of god'. In the event of a cancellation of the event based upon circumstances that are out of our control we will not be able to issue refunds. We recognize that some athletes will have schedule conflicts after they have signed up. If you need to transfer your registration to someone else we will allow it. To alter a team name, change team size (duo to quad, solo to duo, etc.) or substitute a rider a $10 fee will be charged before Thursday October 31st at 8:00 PM, $20 will be charged for changes made after that time.
