Event Information

Join us for the second annual La Mosca Bicicleta. Starting and finishing in Grants, NM, our event will take you up and down on a mix of paved and dirt roads with very scenic views.  T-shirt offered to the first 50 entrants. Click on 'Event Website' above for more details.

• 47 mile distance with 5,604’ of climbing; 1 dirt sector; 22.5 mi. long

• 70 mile distance with 6,844’ of climbing; 2 dirt sectors; 17.5 & 22.5 mi. long

• Start: 6,414’ @Route 66 Junkyard Brewery, Grants, NM

• Finish: 10,420’ @Saddle between La Mosca Peak and Mt. Taylor

• Two aid stations en route, plus @finish

• Modifications to route may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances

• Participants can ride back to Grants /Start from finish (20 miles) or meet support vehicles: HWY 547 @ FS 193 (4.5 miles from finish)

• Please, no personal support on dirt stretches (too much congestion & dust!).

Refund policy: Participants may request a refund (minus $7 for bank fees) until Monday, July 16, 2018, 11:59 PM. Sorry, no refund after 07/16 11:59 PM. Use the 'Contact Event Organizer' button above to submit your request.

The organizer has a NO REFUND policy in case of event cancellation due to bad weather, natural disaster, or terrorism (referred to as 'peril' below). However, SWSportsReg.com has a built in peril insurance for all events using their online registration plaftorm. Thus, SWSportsReg.com may file a claim and issue refunds if the claim is approved by their peril insurance provider.
