ONLINE REGISTRATION REQUIRED!

The 2nd Annual Mt Lemmon Gravel Grinder is scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd, 2017, and features one of southern Arizona's most historic gravel roads located on the “back side” northern slopes of the Santa Catalina Mountains connecting the rural town of Oracle to the Village of Summerhaven, Mt Lemmon.

‚ÄčThe Grinder returns to the Oracle Ford Peppersauce Roundup “Adventure Festival” hosted by Arizona Zipline Adventures located just outside of Oracle. The 2nd edition will offer folks the opportunity to travel up the Mt Lemmon “Control” Road while friends and family await your return and enjoy the full day of festivities back at the Corral.

Riders will enjoy the remote rugged terrain and breathtaking open range views while challenging their physical and mental abilities in search of what it takes to grind out the course. True Grit! When you return, all finishers will receive an award symbolizing your achievement and are encouraged to celebrate and enjoy the live music, tasty eats, and cold beverages.

American Bunnyhop invites you to round up your posse of family and friends and enjoy the beauty and charm of Oracle. Spend the weekend with us!

The Mt Lemmon Gravel Grinder is concentrated on a 40 mile loop with an out-and-back section for the 50 mile course.  The routes take cyclists through the lush semi desert landscape that skirt the lower elevations of the Santa Catalina Mountains and leads the way to the main climb up the backside of Mt Lemmon.  The course consists of a mix of gravel/dirt and paved roads that wind its way through sections of the Coronado National Forest and through the neighboring town of San Manuel.  Along the way you’ll pass through local cattle ranches and former mining operations while traveling across several cattle guards, over small narrow bridges, and through dry river beds known as washes. Incredible views of the San Pedro River Valley and Galiuro Mountain Range, a sky island mountain, can been seen from virtually anywhere along the course. The route can be done on a cross, gravel or mountain bike. Aid Stations will be located at Mt Lemmon “Control” Road & Forest Road 4450 “Haul Road” and Redington Road & Black Hills Mine Road.
